Observation Narrative ? The magnificent hemlock-dominated forest of the right prong here ascends nearly to the ridge crest, probably because of the steep, north aspect. The stand is an impressive old one and is in the beginning stages of infestation by Adelges tsugae. Plot located on steep, north-facing slope above Ramseys Draft Right Prong, ca. 150 m SSE of uppermost trail crossing.
